Gadar 2 (Rebellion 2) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with the story written by Shaktimaan Talwar.It is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles.Gadar 2 brings back the family of Tara Singh, Sakeena & Jeete to cinema, 22 years after its predecessor, Gadar. Set in 1971 against the backdrop of the anti-India campaign, "Crush India", Tara Singh, once again, travels to Lahore, Pakistan to bring back his son.Zee Studio, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma officially announced Gadar 2: The Katha Continues on 15 October 2021 (Dusshera) on their social media accounts, revealing the release date 2022 with motion poster.It is scheduled to be released on 11 August 2023.
